Governor signs tax reform legislation into law

On July 9, Gov. Mike Parson put his stamp of approval on a wide-ranging tax reform bill. Among several changes to the state tax code, Senate Bill 872 extends the existing state and local sales tax exemption on generation equipment to include transmission and distribution equipment.

Supporting reliability in University City through the Smart Energy Plan

On July 26, 2022, significant rainfall throughout the St. Louis region caused millions of dollars in damage to homes, businesses and infrastructure. In University City, the rainfall caused the River Des Peres to rise out of its banks and into the surrounding neighborhoods, flooding nearby homes and an Ameren substation on Waldron Avenue.

Veterans Fund receives significant boost to assist Missouri military families

Ameren Missouri recently announced an additional $200,000 donation to help active-duty military, veterans and their families when they face challenges paying their energy bills. These funds are available through United Way 211.

Ameren Missouri investing in reliable energy for when customers need it most

Ameren Missouri recently filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission to build an 800 megawatt simple-cycle natural gas energy center to serve as a reliable source of energy, ready to use when customers need it most. The Castle Bluff Energy Center is designed to bolster grid reliability and deliver energy on the hottest summer days and coldest winter nights.
