Supporting economic development through the Powering Missouri Growth Plan

As advanced manufacturing and data centers consider locating throughout eastern Missouri, Ameren Missouri reminds its customers it is uniquely positioned to meet the large energy requirements of these new projects and has plans to reliably serve them while protecting other customers from unjust or unreasonable charges. Back in May, Ameren Missouri filed its plan to support these potential large, energy-intensive customers with the Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC). Commonly known as the Powering Missouri Growth Plan, this approach aims to ensure the company can reliably serve these potential new large electric load customers while maintaining just and reasonable rates for their current customer base.

Catherine Hanaway sworn in as Missouri's attorney general

With her hand on her son's bible, Catherine Hanaway took her oath of office and was sworn in as Missouri's 45th attorney general during a private ceremony on Sept. 8. Following the resignation of Andrew Bailey in August, Gov. Mike Kehoe appointed Catherine Hanaway to serve as Missouri's next attorney general. Hanaway's selection fills the vacancy created by the federal appointment of Bailey to serve as the co-deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Orise Distribution to expand in St. Louis

Orise Distribution, a wholesale distributor of medical supplies, recently announced it will expand in St. Louis, investing $6.2 million and creating 40 new jobs. The company’s expansion includes the addition of more than 5,000 square feet of space to its existing facility in the City of St. Louis.
