Orise Distribution to expand in St. Louis
Company to invest $6.2 million and create 40 new jobs through expansion project
Orise Distribution, a wholesale distributor of medical supplies, recently announced it will expand in St. Louis, investing $6.2 million and creating 40 new jobs. The company’s expansion includes the addition of more than 5,000 square feet of space to its existing facility in the City of St. Louis.
Orise specializes in the procurement, storage and distribution of long-term medical equipment and supplies, such as wheelchairs, hospital beds and mobility aids to various health care providers, institutions and individual patients. The company's founders have decades of experience in multiple industries and are skilled in streamlining complex systems to promote growth while contributing to the community.
“We’re proud to announce this significant new partnership between Orise Distribution and various regional stakeholders,” said Quentin Womack, CEO of Orise Distribution. “This expansion project is bringing together the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the St. Louis Development Corporation, Ameren, St. Louis community colleges and local political leaders. This collaboration marks a major step forward in strengthening the regional health care supply chain while driving new job creation and economic growth in St. Louis City.”
At its core, the company is a vertically integrated operation that controls production from raw materials to final distribution, allowing for exceptional quality, reduced inefficiencies and swift responses to client needs. Orise is working to implement an AI-powered medical supply chain, with plans to enter pharmaceutical distribution by 2026.
“We’re excited to support Orise Distribution as they expand their operations in St. Louis,” said Tara Oglesby, vice president, energy solutions and business development for Ameren Missouri. “This investment not only strengthens Missouri’s role in the health care supply chain but also reflects Ameren Missouri’s commitment to powering innovation and economic growth with reliable, affordable energy.”
For this expansion, Orise Distribution will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation. To learn more about the company, please visit orisedistribution.com.
