LIHEAP and other energy assistance funds remain available for Ameren Missouri customers

Ameren Missouri reminds customers they may be eligible for a variety of programs related to monthly bill assistance or past-due bills. While Ameren Missouri’s energy assistance programs are available year-round, the deadline to apply for the state's Low Income Home Energy Assistance program (LIHEAP) is May 31. The company partners with more than 800 community agencies to help customers apply for LIHEAP Energy Assistance (EA) and additional assistance programs.

While festive and fun, Mylar balloons can cause power outages and safety issues when they encounter power lines and other electrical equipment. These metallic balloons conduct electricity, leading to surges and shorts that can disrupt power, start fires and damage the electric grid.

Ameren Missouri's Osage Energy Center to benefit from reliability upgrades

Ameren Missouri announces it is nearing completion of important upgrades designed to enhance efficiency and reliability at Lake of the Ozarks' Osage Energy Center. The company is replacing the plant's last two original turbine runners with new, more efficient equipment. At 94 years old, the original 1931 turbines were well past their designed lifespan of 50 years.
