For Rep. Keri Ingle, energy policy is deeply personal.

Before her election to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2018, Ingle built her career as a licensed master social worker, helping children, families and medically vulnerable people navigate some of life’s hardest challenges, an experience she said continues to shape her work in public office. Now representing the 35th District in the Missouri House, which includes parts of Lee’s Summit and southern Kansas City, she serves as ranking member of the House Utilities committee, where she’s become a strong voice for balancing energy reliability, affordability and innovation.

The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., and its accompanying Mobile Education Center, visited Jefferson Barracks Park in St. Louis County from July 24-27. A program of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, this powerful tribute honors the more than 3 million Americans who served in the Vietnam War and memorializes the 58,281 names of those who made the ultimate sacrifice — giving their life for their country.

Ameren donates $4 million in energy assistance to agencies across Missouri and Illinois

Ameren announces it will make available an additional $4 million for bill payment assistance to community action agencies dedicated to helping residential customers throughout Missouri and Illinois. This follows the $1 million in support for victims of the May 16 tornado that Ameren announced earlier this year, which local area agencies continue to distribute.

Missouri businesses experience more than $2.9 million in savings from energy-efficient HVAC upgrades

Ameren Missouri announced that more than 230 commercial customers from throughout its service territory have saved over $2.9 million on their energy bills after upgrading to high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems since July 2024. The company's business energy savings program, BizSavers, provides cash incentives to companies for energy efficiency upgrades.

Composite poles limit damage, speed restoration times in Wildwood

On March 14, an EF-3 tornado touched down near Villa Ridge in Franklin County, staying on the ground for more than 13 miles as it headed into St. Louis County and toward the community of Wildwood. It was one of more than a dozen tornadoes spawned by a large line of severe weather, making this one of the most active tornado days on record for the area. The damage to electric infrastructure was widespread, totaling more than 400 broken poles across Missouri and Illinois.

Amazon to build new delivery station in Scott City

Amazon is planning to build a new 61,000-square-foot, last-mile delivery station in the new SEMO Industrial Park in Scott City, Missouri. The new facility will streamline the company’s logistics in southeast Missouri, enhancing delivery services in Cape Girardeau, Scott and surrounding counties. Through the project, Amazon will invest $15 million in capital and create 70 new jobs for the area. This will be Amazon’s 17th operational facility in Missouri and the first in the southeast part of the state.
