Businesses throughout Ameren Missouri's footprint save more than $2.5 million through energy-efficient upgrades

Through BizSavers® program, more than 220 commercial customers reduced energy costs and usage over the past year

Ameren Missouri announced more than 220 commercial customers throughout its service territory have saved more than $2.5 million on energy bills after upgrading to high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems since July 2025.

Through the company's BizSavers® program, businesses completed more than 240 HVAC upgrades over the past 12 months, resulting in energy savings of 25.9 million kilowatt-hours (kWh). That amount of electricity is equivalent to powering approximately 25,700 homes for one month.

"As energy needs continue to grow, helping customers get more value from every kilowatt-hour is essential," said Tony Lozano, director of energy efficiency and demand response for Ameren Missouri. "Through BizSavers, Missouri businesses are lowering costs, improving operations and strengthening their competitiveness while contributing to a more efficient energy future for Missouri."

Additionally, educational institutions across Missouri achieved more than 10.9 million kWh in energy savings between July 2025 and July 2026, earning over $4 million in incentives to support efficiency upgrades through the program. These improvements helped participating schools lower utility costs, modernize facilities, enhance comfort for students and educators and free up resources that can be reinvested in educational priorities.

Launched in 2013, the BizSavers® program provides cash incentives and technical support to commercial and industrial customers implementing energy-efficient improvements. Since its beginning, the program has helped organizations across a wide range of industries reduce energy consumption, lower operating expenses and improve sustainability outcomes.
