Ameren Missouri donates $100,000 to Heat Up St. Louis

Donation was part of the 23rd annual Hardees's Rise and Shine Event

As a part of Heat Up St. Louis' annual Hardee's Rise and Shine event, Ameren Missouri donated $100,000 to help families in Missouri and Illinois pay their energy bills. Founded in 2000, Heat Up St. Louis Inc. is a nonprofit organization aiming to help the elderly, disabled and low-income families with their energy bills throughout the two-state area.

"As a sponsor and committed partner of Heat Up St. Louis' annual fundraiser, Ameren Missouri is proud to work with this organization and its important cause," said Mark Birk, chairman and president of Ameren Missouri. "As a company and as a member of the St. Louis community, we are committed to helping our neighbors stay safe and warm during the winter months."

Ameren Missouri employees volunteered during the Rise and Shine event to help collect donations and raise awareness of the work being done by Heat Up St. Louis to help those in need. The company's donation was funded by shareholders and not Ameren Missouri rates. For more information on Heat Up St. Louis, please visit heatupstlouis.org.
