Highlighting the successes of Ameren Missouri's Smart Energy Plan

Since Ameren Missouri launched the Smart Energy Plan, enabled by the passage of Senate Bill 564 in 2018, Missouri consumers and communities have experienced countless benefits because of the plan's implementation.

Since 2018, Ameren Missouri has upgraded 170 miles of power lines while installing 772,000 smart meters, 1,178 smart switches and 75 new or upgraded substations. These investments in state-of-the-art technology reduce outages and respond faster when they do occur, so customers can live life uninterrupted.

The Smart Energy Plan also supports economic growth in Missouri. In 2022, the plan's incentives helped create nearly 1,000 jobs by encouraging 16 businesses to move to or expand in Missouri.
