Ameren Missouri helps customers manage their energy bills
The company offers several energy assistance programs for qualifying customers
With winter in full swing, Ameren Missouri reminds its customers it is ready to help those struggling with their energy bills. Energy assistance is available for seniors, veterans, income-eligible households and those seeking permanent housing. Below are several programs offered by Ameren Missouri to help customers manage their bills.
Keeping Current helps make paying energy bills more affordable. It includes a monthly bill credit between $35 and $90 along with help to reduce the total amount owed, including past due balances.
Dollar More can help customers struggling to afford their energy bills by providing eligible households with up to $600 per calendar year.
New Start Energy Relief offers unhoused electric customers up to $1,000 to return to permanent housing and reestablish service.
Weatherization assistance is available for qualifying homeowners and renters through local agencies. Qualifications are similar to Keeping Current, and these programs may be bundled for maximum benefit.
Veterans Energy Assistance is available for active-duty military, veterans and their families, who can receive up to $600 when they face challenges paying their utility bills. Eligible customers can call 211 for more information.
Flexible payment agreements can also be made with Ameren Missouri, and Budget Billing can help even out monthly payments.
