Missouri's 2024 general election: Make your voice heard!
Voters to consider candidates for office and several proposed constitutional amendments on November ballot
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, voters throughout Missouri will head to the polls for the state's general election. When voters enter their polling place on Election Day, they will be asked to make decisions on several local, state and federal races, in addition to five proposed changes to the Missouri Constitution and one change to state law.
Beginning Oct. 22 until the day before Election Day, voters may cast a no-excuse absentee ballot in person at a location designated by their local election authority.
For those planning to vote on Election Day, polling places throughout the state will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is important to remember if you are in line when the polls close at 7 p.m., you have the right to cast your vote — no matter your place in line. Additionally, voters are required to show a valid photo ID before voting. If a voter does not have a photo ID, they are allowed to cast a provisional ballot. These ballots will be counted if the voter returns to their polling place on Election Day with a valid photo ID or if the signature on their provisional ballot envelope is determined by the local election authority to match the signature on their voter registration record.
