Ameren Missouri's Community Solar program to expand with plans for third facility

Ameren Missouri recently announced plans to build a new solar facility alongside its existing Montgomery Community Solar Center in New Florence, an hour west of St. Louis. The site, which will be part of Ameren Missouri's Community Solar program, fills the demand created by more than 4,700 customers from across the state who want to expand their use of renewable energy.

Lawmakers wrap up 2024 legislative session

Friday, May 17, marked the final day of the 2024 legislative session. Throughout the session, lawmakers introduced more than 2,500 bills and resolutions to be considered by the General Assembly. Of those measures, 46 made it through the process and reached the governor's desk for his review and consideration.

Smart Energy Plan upgrades powering increased reliability in Jefferson County

Upgrades to an existing substation in Jefferson County are supporting increased reliability for customers in Jefferson County. The Plattin substation, located south of Festus, has been operating at or near full capacity due to its existing transformers, which have been in service since the 1960s and 70s.

Get rewarded for making safe boating choices this summer

Throughout the summer, kids ages 7 and under caught wearing their life jackets when on the water at Lake of the Ozarks could receive a free T-shirt. The giveaway runs until the end of the summer, thanks to a partnership between Ameren Missouri and the Missouri State Highway Patrol's (MSHP) Water Patrol Division to raise awareness about water safety.
