Smart Energy Plan project to support reliability in University City

On July 26, 2022, significant rainfall throughout the St. Louis region caused millions of dollars in damage to homes, businesses and infrastructure. In University City, the rainfall caused the River Des Peres to rise out of its banks and into the surrounding neighborhoods.

Power Predictability and Reliability Act moves forward in the Missouri Senate

According to Rep. Jamie Burger, R-Benton, he has been blessed with a good life. Burger is a lifelong resident of southeast Missouri and currently lives in Benton with his wife of 46 years. His three daughters and their families all remain in the area, and with grandkids between the ages of four and 21 nearby, there is always an opportunity to attend ball games.

A new substation in Foristell, Missouri, is now delivering reliable power to the people of St. Charles and Warren counties. This substation and other new upgrades to the area are part of Ameren Missouri's efforts to modernize the electric grid through the company's Smart Energy Plan.

LIHEAP Energy Assistance Funds Available for Missouri Families

Ameren Missouri reminds its customers the deadline to apply for the state’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is May 31. The company partners with more than 800 community agencies, such as the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County, Inc. (CAASTLC), to help customers apply for LIHEAP and additional energy assistance programs.
