Boosting reliability in South St. Louis County

Through the Smart Energy Plan, Ameren Missouri is investing more than $2 million in the Oakville community to support increased reliability for more than 10,000 customers. This past fall, Ameren installed new equipment, called a switchgear, at its Ringer Road substation in South St. Louis County. The new equipment includes smart technology which can identify outages and reroute power, reducing outage times from days or hours to minutes, even seconds.
